Position Overview

This is a commission‑based role.

As a New Home Sales Consultant, you will serve as a trusted guide throughout the home‑buying process, using the Starlight Sales Process and delivering exceptional customer service. Your successful completion of our 4‑week award‑winning training will prepare you to work with a dedicated team that values growth, culture, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through inbound phone calls, educating interested parties about products, setting appointments, and answering questions professionally.
  • Develop, practice, and deliver a strong sales presentation consistent with company training.
  • Maintain high levels of activity: engage new prospects, follow up with interested prospects, and set appointments to close.
  • Respond to customer queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Communicate regularly with Starlight team members and provide updates during weekly meetings.
  • Present organized information regarding prospective and engaged prospects to the Sales Manager.
  • Utilize all resources to transition leads into prospective customers and follow up with customers under contract.
  • Generate referrals by upholding a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Enter leads, appointments, and all communications into Salesforce daily.
  • Build and maintain relationships with realtors by visiting offices, networking, and conducting business.
  • Present Starlight homes knowledgeably and professionally.
  • Be a subject‑matter expert on the homebuilding process and educate prospects on expectations.
  • Research community information (schools, utilities, taxes, recreation, shopping) to aid clients in their decisions.
  • Work with clients to understand their vision and match the perfect home to meet their needs.
  • Use training modules to stay consistent with Starlight’s process and continually improve sales delivery.
  • Call all customers the night before loan application, the night of sale, and at least once per week under contract to maintain rapport.
  • Respond to phone calls and e‑mails from the Starlight team within 24 hours.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of direct sales or customer service experience.
  • Valid/Active driver’s license.
  • Ability to work weekends (Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday off).
  • Work onsite at the model home or community mobile office.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Collaborative approach to support team success.
  • Adaptable, flexible attitude.
  • Ability to handle high‑volume situations.
  • Strong work ethic, drive, positive attitude, and decision‑making skills.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and keep the office presentable.
Typical Physical and Mental Demands
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English; perform basic calculations.
  • Hearing and vision sufficient to use office equipment.
  • Use hands and fingers for standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

  • Standard office environment with occasional walking and standing.
  • Fast‑paced environment with frequent schedule and priority changes.
