Sales Representative – Small Format Off Premise
Summary:
Sells and merchandises North Florida Sales products to an established sales territory by performing the following duties.
- Reports to work by 6:30 am, Monday – Friday. Schedule is subject to change as needed.
- Follows a pre‑established daily route sequence to ensure all customers receive proper service.
- Records inventory and sales information in Encompass at each account.
- Records all stops and transactions on a handheld computer.
- Ensures all North Florida Sales quality control standards are met, including the removal of over‑age product. Sales Representatives may be charged for the cost of overage product in their designated territory.
- Keeps customers informed of all price promotions, new products, and merchandising opportunities.
- Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPI) annual progress.
- Responsible for selling in and merchandising all displays.
- Merchandises all accounts with paper point‑of‑sale materials such as base wraps, cooler statics, price strips, banners, etc.
- Ensures overall customer satisfaction and execution at the store level.
- Works closely with Supervisor and Delivery Driver to ensure all customer needs are met.
- Listens to and attempts to resolve customer complaints when possible or informs immediate supervisor.
- Maintains NFS culture of dignity and respect and works as a productive team member.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Monitors State of Florida “No Sale” and “Cash Only” lists to ensure compliance.
- Rotates all windows and coolers per company policy.
- Adheres to all Anheuser‑Busch policies and State Beverage Laws.
- Attends North Florida Sales meetings as required.
- Operates company vehicle safely and courteously.
- Wears only company‑approved clothing.
- Checks mailbox daily for sale updates and customer call‑ins.
- Is responsible for all equipment supplied by the company.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED. Prior sales experience required; beverage sales preferred.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; write reports or correspondence; and communicate effectively with customers.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; work with money and make change.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with several concrete variables in standardized situations; interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
Certificates & LicensesA valid Florida driver’s license and a safe driving record that meets MVR guidelines, maintained throughout employment.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds repetitively. Specific vision abilities required include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
Work is partly outdoors and partly indoors. Outdoor conditions include intense heat or cold, sunlight, rain, wind, and possible vehicle smells. Indoor conditions include customary lighting and temperatures. Cold temperatures of less than 50° may be encountered in coolers. Noise level is usually moderate.
