Outside Sales Representative
We are seeking a positive, motivated, and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Our ideal candidate will excel in prospecting new business and relationship building, while maintaining a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Responsibilities- New Business Development:
Identify and prospect clients within your assigned territory and develop & manage leads, through 8–10 daily sales appointments. Ensure timely follow-up through the Lansing Sales Cycle. - Customer Meetings:
Meet face to face and educate contractors, remodelers, & builders on our products/services, demonstrating the value and benefits for their organization. - Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and proactively offering solutions. - Sales Reporting:
Utilize Salesforce to track and report on sales activities.
- Strong communication & negotiation skills; confident and persuasive demeanor.
- A relentless drive to new business and exceed sales targets.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Customer‑obsessed passion for understanding & fulfilling client needs with a solutions‑oriented approach.
- History of strong ethical behavior and high integrity.
- 2+ years of experience in territory management, B2B outside sales, with a focus on new business development.
- Experience with CRM software to manage and track sales activity.
- Familiarity with Building Materials, Construction, or Wholesale Territory Sales.
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Base salary (include range) plus uncapped commission, focus on performance‑based incentives.
- Company car: personal usage & all expenses paid.
