As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and communication. This role involves routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.
This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location's needs.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as those specific to the government location.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or directing visitors as needed.
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to promptly address any security-related issues that may arise.
- A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or General Educational Development is required by the client.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
