As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Utilities in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to site protocols.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors present at the location.
• Document patrols, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
• Follow all company and client protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
