As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Utility Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Learn more:  As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated utility locations, remaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities, with particular attention to areas relevant to utility operations.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or security-related concerns within the location and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Interact with employees, contractors, and visitors in a courteous manner while enforcing site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support Allied Universal leadership by performing additional security-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Hold an armed guard card or license as required by law.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
