Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrols> – Jacksonville, FL
As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you will actively monitor and patrol utility locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment through routine patrols and strong communication, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Saturday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the utility facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following site‑specific protocols.
• Carry out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and location management.
• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by assisting with inquiries and access control.
• Monitor and report irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unauthorized presence.
• Participate in emergency response activities as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings.
• Communicate with management and location personnel regarding security matters and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Valid armed guard card or license.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Minimum age of 21 years for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen per federal, state, and local laws.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.
