Lead Security Officer – Baptist Town Center ED

Join us at Baptist Health. We are looking to add a Security Officer to our Protective Services Department at Baptist Medical Center Town Center ED. This is a full‑time, day shift opportunity, Monday through Friday.

The primary function of the Security Officer is to assure the day‑to‑day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. As patient safety and experience are top priorities, this growing team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors.

• Provides all the services of a safety and security officer.
• Receives special training in investigations, security equipment, administration, safety, hazmat, and training.
• Reports any unusual circumstances and takes appropriate corrective actions.
• Insures the protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards.
• Provides escort services.
• Responds to unsafe situations.
• Enforces hospital parking regulations.
• Assists individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems.

High School Diploma/GED

Associate's Degree

• 1–2 years Customer Service Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Distribution Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Inventory Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Law Enforcement Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Warehouse Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Receiving Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Security Officer Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Military Experience (Preferred)
• 1–2 years Shipping Experience (Preferred)
• Shipping Experience (Preferred)

• International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Supervisor Certification (Preferred)
• International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Advanced Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
