Position: Experienced Sign Installer Technician Relocation Available

If you've spent years installing or servicing signs and have the hours to prove it, you're already on the path to something bigger. In Texas, 8,000 hours of documented sign work makes you eligible to test for your Journeyman Sign Electrician license ...and we'll help you get there.

This role is full-time and hourly with steady overtime opportunities. And thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill, overtime pay is now tax‑free - so more of what you earn, stays yours.

We know moving for work is a big decision, so we're offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance for the right candidate.

Sky Rite currently has positions available for Experienced Sign Installer Technician in the following areas:

  • Amarillo, TX
  • Lubbock, TX
What You'll Actually Do
  • Install and service illuminated and non‑illuminated signs of all sizes
  • Work outdoors on lifts, cranes, and rooftops - no two jobs are ever the same
  • Wire and troubleshoot electrical components on sign systems
  • Read drawings, review specs, and follow codes to get it right the first time
  • Load your truck with tools, materials, and equipment to stay efficient on site
  • Document your work with photos and checklists, and communicate clearly with your crew, office, and customers

Minimum Requirements
  • 8,000 or more hours of verifiable sign installation or service experience
  • Eligible and willing to test for a Texas Journeyman Sign Electrician license
  • Reliable work ethic and safety‑first mindset
  • Comfortable with heights, ladders, cranes, and physical labor
  • Ability to read plans, specs, and follow codes
  • Welding &/or crane/lift experience
  • Commercial Driver's License Preferred
