This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move and stack merchandise. The scope of this position includes all phases of warehousing including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing and forklift operation.

• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including daily inspection and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam, swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch or motorized pallet rider.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations; efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped; efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions; maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

• High school or G.E.D. degree; minimum three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Strong mathematical skills—apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; perform basic arithmetic.
• Reasoning ability—apply common sense to carry out instructions; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Computer operations—learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, timekeeping, HRIS and other software systems used in the performance of job duties; RF scanner proficiency.
• Certified license of powered material handling equipment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, climb ladders, etc.
