NLP Logix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer IV to act as a Senior Technical Lead on our Engineering team. This specialized role demands an exceptional individual contributor who can identify, codify, and synthesize best practices. The ideal candidate is not only an expert coder, particularly in Python, (.NET also preferred) but also possesses the leadership qualities necessary to guide and influence best coding practices across the team.

Your primary focus will be on enhancing our engineering capabilities by extracting and formalizing reusable solutions and frameworks, ensuring all developers in the future can benefit from accelerated development cycles.

• Serve as a key Technical Leader, guiding the team in adhering to coding standards and best practices while pushing the boundaries of technological excellence.
• Extract and distill effective practices and architectural insights from various projects to build a highly reusable, efficient accelerator library.
• Perform rigorous code reviews, ensuring solutions are not only functional but optimized for performance and maintainability.
• Foster a culture of code excellence and simplicity, acting as both a mentor and technical arbiter in sophisticated engineering discussions.
• Use your extensive experience in Python and familiarity with other key technologies (.NET preferred) to craft robust, scalable frameworks that serve as the foundation for future projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and other tech leads to ensure that the development and integration of the accelerator library align with overall business objectives and timelines.
• Influence and implement software engineering best practices across the team, including security protocols, coding standards, and advanced programming techniques.
• Maintain a hands-on approach with coding, demonstrating personal expertise and setting a high standard for the engineering team.
• Identify opportunities for improving team efficiency and performance, specifically through the use of technological innovations and streamlined processes.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing them with the technical guidance and leadership necessary for their growth and development within the company.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role
• Demonstrable experience with REST API development, cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and service integrations.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile development, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proficiency in machine learning concepts and experience integrating ML models into applications is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
