We are seeking a motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic and growing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing embedded, web-based, and Windows applications. This role requires a creative problem solver who can deliver innovative solutions to complex development challenges. You will be part of a team that designs and supports the future of the North American Freight and Passenger Railroad Market, developing and maintaining real-time embedded applications used in safety-critical train control and signaling systems, grade crossing protection systems, signaling products, and electronic interlockings.
Responsibilities- Develop embedded, web-based, and Windows applications
- Collaborate with engineering departments on system development and support
- Participate in documentation, verification, and support of safety-critical systems
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Software Engineering in an Agile Environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Event-Driven, Service-Based, and Cloud-Native Architecture and Design
- Proficiency in Java, including JavaFX
- Experience with JUnit and mocking frameworks (e.g., Mockito)
- Experience with Angular and AMQP
- Proficiency with git, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Experience in estimating software development efforts
- Experience with Rabbit
MQ and PostgreSQL - Experience in the Railroad Domain
