As a Software Engineer Sr., PNC’s Technology organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Miamisburg OH, Dallas TX or Jacksonville FL. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint.

PNC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong hands‑on development expertise and a proven ability to deliver high‑quality solutions in a collaborative environment. This role requires proficiency in .NET, Angular, C#, and SQL Server, with a focus on Agile delivery, test‑driven development (TDD), and behavior‑driven development (BDD). The ideal candidate will be a technical expert who can contribute to the design and development of scalable applications, uphold engineering best practices, and foster continuous improvement.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using modern technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while ensuring quality through TDD/BDD practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to engineering standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in code quality, performance, and development processes.
• Ensure compliance with Agile methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and execution.

• Hands‑on experience with .NET, Angular, C#, and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of TDD, BDD, and scalable application architecture.
• Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Open Shift, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Oracle, and Entity Framework.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops best practices.

• Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
• Maintains and debugs software.

• Customer Focused – Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
• Managing Risk – Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Base Salary: $55,000.00 — $. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
