Python​/R Developer

This role is for a Python/R Developer on a 12-month hybrid contract in Jacksonville, FL, offering competitive pay. Key skills include Python, R, SQL, REST APIs, and unit testing. Candidates must have 3+ years of relevant experience and permanent US work authorization.

Responsible for development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions using R/Python to enable Customer Experience applications. Conduct documentation of the system, perform unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintain internally developed applications. Evaluate and perform performance testing of purchased products while ensuring IT Controls protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data.

• Develop, program, and code IT solutions using R/Python.
• Document systems, conduct unit tests, review code with peers, and maintain applications.
• Evaluate and test performance of purchased products.
• Implement IT Controls to safeguard application data.
• Assess libraries to meet business/technical requirements using a methodical approach.
• Work with REST APIs, process batch files, and schedule batch processes.
• Use standard desktop applications (MS Suite) and flowchart tools (Visio).
• Apply critical thinking to evaluate alternatives and present solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, and documentation.
• In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle.
• Database knowledge in SQL, DB2/Netezza, or SQL Server.
• Excellent understanding of RESTful architecture.
• Proficiency in R and Python programming and required libraries.
• Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs, processing batch files, and scheduling batch processes.
• Proficiency with MS Suite and Visio.

3+ years related work experience in the IT industry, including professional technical design and coding with R and SQL/Stored Procedures.

HS Diploma or GED.
