Supabase is a Postgres development platform offering a complete backend solution. This role owns the Turso core database work, including the Postgres compatibility layer, Cloud operations, and scalability improvements for many databases per day.
What you'll do- Drive the Turso Open Source database progress, focusing on the Postgres compatibility layer.
- Ensure code quality and stability, implementing systems and guarantees to prevent regressions.
- Maintain Turso Cloud operations, including the Cloud API and data plane.
- Improve scalability to support a 100x larger number of databases.
- Collaborate with remote teams and Open Source communities to ship robust database tooling.
- Experience with databases or other high-stakes low-level systems such as OS kernels, storage devices, or hypervisors.
- Experience deploying, operating, and debugging large scale software in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes).
- Comfort with Rust and with LLM-assisted development and evals.
- Strong observability, reliability, and performance mindset for complex cloud systems.
- Ability to work with embedded databases and communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
