Route Driver; Utility

Job Summary

Drives company‑owned truck over established routes to deliver and sell products or render services, collects money from machines, and makes change.

• Service a particular route or location during the absence of the regular route or warehouse employee.
• Assist Customer Service Managers with daily opening and closing of the operation, and training of new route service personnel.
• Drive truck to deliver items such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items and sundries to customer places of business.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines, collect stale, rejected or unsold merchandise and refills bill and coin changers.
• Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; accountable for cash and product.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; inform regular customers of new products and/or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Select items from warehouse and load truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver’s license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
• Previous experience in receiving and stocking food supplies.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

Full‑time schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 am–2:00 pm;
Tuesday, Thursday 6:00 am–11:00 am. Pay range: $17.00–$18.00 per hour.
