SalaryUSD $34.34/Hr.

Full Time, Day Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, Rotating Weekends, $20,000 Sign-on Bonus
Education and QualificationsEnrolled in or a graduate of a recognized AMA allied health training program.
Licensure/Certification /Registry- Maintenance of RDMS within twenty-four months of job acceptance.
- Maintenance of BLS CPR certification.
Completion of an approved ultrasound technology program or successful completion of at least 2 RDMS certifications with graduation of an approved Ultrasound Technology program pending.

- Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Requires rotation in an on-call schedule including holidays.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
- Requires ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
- Physical demands include repetitive motions of the hands, walking, standing, and reaching above the head.

- Checks the patients’ chart or scripts to ensure the exam ordered by the physician matches the requisition received by the department.
- Uses independent professional judgment to assure exam will clinically evaluate the given diagnosis.
- Prepares the room, equipment, medication and secures supplies needed to perform the exam and maintain a clean and safe environment for patient.
- Explains the procedure and the function of the equipment to the patient as well as answer any questions the patient may have.
- Performs requested US exams of appropriate regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the organization and the reading radiologist.
- Lifts, moves, and transports patients via wheelchair or cart when necessary.
- Transfers, maintains basic quality assurance issues and recalls images from PACS system.
- Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots when appropriate.
- Participates in ongoing QA/QC and process improvement programs.
- Assists in providing a safe work environment and is dedicated to providing patient satisfaction.
- Maintains continuing education credits in compliance with licensing agency.
- Maintains clinical competency.
- Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
