As an RN – Acute Care at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in providing expert nursing care, assessing patient conditions and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive positive health outcomes.

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to clinical best practices.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans and self-care strategies to support recovery.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
• Advocate for patients by fostering open communication, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive healthcare experience.

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Licensed RN in Illinois
• CPR certification required or must be completed during onboarding

• New graduates and experienced RNs welcome
• 2–3 years of acute care experience preferred

• Provide direct patient care while adhering to hospital policies, safety standards and best practices.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed and document all care provided.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Assist with training, mentoring and onboarding new nurses and students.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with infection control protocols, safety regulations and regulatory standards.
