RN – ICU/ICCU (Registered Nurse)
Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the ICU/ICCU unit. The RN will provide comprehensive care for acutely ill patients, from adolescent to adult, using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will also supervise nursing staff caring for groups of patients.
SalaryUSD $30.23–$48.37 per hour.
Sign‑on Bonus- Up to $20,000*
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU/ICCU, you will coordinate comprehensive care of acutely ill patients, ensuring delivery of high‑quality and evidence‑based care. You will develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluate progress, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and advocate for patients and families.
Education- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- BSN preferred
- Licensed to practice nursing in Illinois
- CPR certification or completion during onboarding
- ACLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment
- Advanced reading, writing, and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills
- Proficiency in clinical information systems and basic computer use
- Assess patient health status through interview, observation, and physical assessment.
- Develop individualized care plans with specific goals and target dates in collaboration with patient, family, provider, and other team members.
- Implement interventions to move patients toward established goals.
- Evaluate and document patient progress, modifying the care plan as needed.
- Complete documentation accurately and promptly in the medical record.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge to safely use patient care equipment.
- Prioritize work based on patient condition changes, assignment changes, and interruptions.
- Collaborate with the team to organize tasks from admission through discharge, delegating tasks appropriately.
- Follow patient care techniques that promote safety and reduce risk, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Advocate for patients with families, physicians, and the team.
- Adapt teaching strategies based on patient readiness and comprehension.
- Incorporate cultural, age‑specific, gender, and developmental factors in patient/family education.
- Respond promptly to patient/family requests and concerns.
- Provide care to all age groups using age‑appropriate communication.
- Support initiatives that enhance patient experience and lead others in these efforts.
- Perform other related work as required.
