Account Manager Burrus is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, sales professional to join our sales team. Our Account Managers are part of a team of dedicated people who are passionate about agriculture, have a strong desire to succeed, and look forward to working with dealers and growers daily to help our customers thrive. The selected Account Manager will be an active member of the regional sales team responsible for the growth, development, and management of a territory consistent with the overall strategy of the Burrus organization.
They will work in conjunction with a Sales Agronomist in the region and report directly to a Regional Sales Manager. Tasks & Responsibilities ➢ Grow sales and market share annually by selling directly to growers and/or through a dealer network ➢ Call on growers in a specified territory, including prospecting, delivering proposals, and closing sales ➢ Create positive long-term business relationships and ensure customer satisfaction with accounts ➢ Effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and leadership team members ➢ Develop and deliver formal proposals and presentations, appropriately addressing the grower’s needs ➢ Analyze market conditions, competition, trends, issues, and opportunities ➢ Develop and implement a territory sales plan for the assigned geography that includes annual account and volume growth ➢ Effectively utilize sales tools provided by the company to enhance the accounts experience with Burrus including our CRM, Seed Ware and MyFarms business applications ➢ Consult with accounts to become their trusted advisor ➢ Be a continual learner by demonstrating initiative to increase knowledge of selling skills, and products Required Skills & Experience ✓ A post-secondary education degree ✓ Self-motivated individual with excellent written and oral communication skills ✓ Collaborate with all employees on the team and throughout the organization ✓ Demonstrate initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results ✓ Proficient with Microsoft office tools along with other computer and technologies as required ✓ Strong organization skills, and a strong work ethic ✓ Ability to drive as required meeting DOT requirements, pulling trailers, and ability to lift at least 70 lbs ✓ Ability to pass driving record and background check
