Project Coordinator - Electric Construction Projects, Jacksonville

Overview

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a Project Coordinator for electric line construction projects for our Jacksonville, NC operation. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for working with the construction team to meet project goals in a timely and safe manner. The ideal candidate must be able to read blueprints, plan crew schedules, assist with estimating, coordinate scheduling, track progress quantities, and communicate with customers.

• Assists Project Manager with tracking progress quantities required to meet project goals
• Performs pre-construction site visits to estimate unit counts, identify possible obstacles and provide general reconnaissance to Project Manager and Supervisor about upcoming jobs
• Ensures accuracy of timesheets and expense reports
• Reconciles completed units against Project Schedule and provides feedback to Project Management and Supervisor
• Monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures
• Reports, tracks, and coordinates all aspects of a project
• May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance

• Working understanding of electrical distribution systems
• Demonstrated experience in project coordination / project management
• Must have previous experience working with blueprints, and specifications
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Project, Word, Excel and Power Point
• Ability to travel within the state of North Carolina
