Are you a skilled Optometrist looking to make a difference in the lives of patients? Buglisi Eye Care is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in coastal Jacksonville, NC. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively in a family-owned and operated professional clinical environment.

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and diagnose ocular conditions
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Diagnose and treat ocular diseases
• Fit and prescribe contact lenses and corrective vision lenses as necessary
• Provide postoperative care for patients
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the examination process
• Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care with preventive measures, as well as the best visual options to include glasses
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed for comprehensive patient care
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies

• Doctor of Optometry degree
• Valid state licensure to practice optometry
• Strong knowledge of physiology related to the visual system and vital signs assessment
• Experience in eye care and visual field testing
• Proficiency in contact lens fitting
• Knowledge of ocular diseases and diabetic retinopathy
• Ability to perform refraction and optical coherence tomography
• Familiarity with medical record systems and documentation practices
• Excellent sales skills to effectively recommend eyewear products and services
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with LASIK and Optomap technology
• Knowledge of vision therapy and low vision services
• Strong patient recall and communication skills
• Ability to prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary

• Technicians that perform all pre-examination testing and accurate data input
• Flexibility to your schedule may be available, to be discussed during vetting process
• Experienced opticians who will perform all sales of contacts and glasses with your recommendations in mind
• Modenrizing Medicine's EMA EHR
• A beautful high-end optical selection as well as your selection of contact lens trials
• Experienced Corneal Ophthalmologist/Owner on site for your guidance when needed
• Credentialing team and billing team

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 per year, plus a quarterly bonus, depending on experience. Buglisi Eye Care also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) options, flexible schedules, vacation leave, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
