Logistics and Maritime Planner – Booz Allen Hamilton

ResponsibilitiesAs a Logistics and Maritime Planner, you’ll bring your logistics, maritime, and exercise expertise to support the client’s exercise and Global Force Management planning, providing continuity for participation in major 2, 3, and 4‑star service, joint, and combined exercises. You will research, develop, analyze, assess, plan, and support client exercise planning. Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing detailed exercise plans of actions and milestones (POA&Ms)
- Identifying required resources and providing mitigation recommendations for resource shortfalls
- Delivering status updates, briefing senior leaders, and leading operational planning teams (OPTs) or working groups (WGs)
- Developing exercise briefs and other information products, and transitioning plans to major subordinate elements
- Forecasting, coordinating, and synchronizing exercise planning requirements with resource requirements via SharePoint, Teams, and other systems
- 5+ years of experience in USMC or DoD logistics, maritime, and exercise planning, including wargames and exercises, developing military orders, concepts of operations, POA&Ms, and operational plans
- Experience on a Marine Corps General Officer Staff
- Experience with the MCPP, Joint Planning Process, or Navy Planning Process and related DoD, Service, MEF, and command‑level policies, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones
- Experience working closely with exercise action officers, coordinating across staff functions and command echelons, and providing support to ELC event planning efforts
- Knowledge of Marine Corps logistics operations and maritime pre‑positioned forces
- Ability to brief senior‑level customers, including general and flag officers
- Ability to present and effectively advocate client equities at planning conferences, OPTs, and WGs
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with USMC or DoD logistics
- Master’s degree
- Completion of Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1 and 2
- Graduate of a School of Advanced Warfighting, Army School of Advanced Military Studies, or Joint or Service equivalent
