Responsibilities
Addiction Clinicians are responsible for developing and carrying out treatment and direct patient care (in compliance with Joint Commission standards) for adults and/or adolescent patients for the recovery of chemical dependency, substance abuse or addictions. The work involves interviewing chemically dependent patients, completing assessments and social histories, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, conducting orientation for new admissions, and developing and implementing individual treatment plans.

Education: Minimum of Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Experience and expertise in dual diagnosis, counseling in alcohol or drug abuse treatment, prevention or education programs (ex. 12-step programs) and substance abuse programs.
License / Certification: LCAS licensure;
Compliance with state board requirements for supervised practice while pursuing independent licensure, and a valid driver’s license.
Physical requirements: Medium Work – Exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally or 10–25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
