Admissions RN completes assessments for patient admissions. Responsible for all referrals; provides information to individuals, agencies, facilities and professional staff (i.e., physicians, consulting professionals), requests information regarding potential admissions, develops and/or maintains relationships with ongoing referral sources to alternate treatment resources when appropriate; completes insurance verification and pre‑certifications as applicable; participates in crisis and safety interventions as needed; assists in performance improvement/quality measurement activities as assigned.
RNs will be expected to cross‑train between intake and the unit as well.
Education: Associate degree in Nursing.
Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health setting preferred.
License / Certification: Current North Carolina or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Physical requirements: Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
