American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and Epic charting background for a day shift assignment.

• Operating Room unit supporting General, Ortho, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain surgical cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call required, split among 3 RNs averaging 10 shifts per month
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in procedures such as thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, urology, and related surgical specialties
• Experience with equipment/instrumentation including cell saver
• Knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol (time out) procedures

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties
• Travel experience preferred but not required for first-time travelers
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
