Your Role
Intermediate level Manufacturing Operator 3 responsible for manufacturing biopharmaceutical filtration membranes or devices with a focus on maximizing safety, quality, and productivity. The Technical Operator supports operations through intermediate level troubleshooting, maintenance support and set‑ups on numerous processes. You will also support process improvements and R&D related activities. Role model for adherence to company and site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality policies and procedures.

- Manufacture quality product safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
- Safely operate a production process and monitor required inputs and outputs constantly/simultaneously.
- Support proper line opening and line closing through material control and proper machine set‑up.
- Accurately complete documentation per GMP standards and ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
- Proactively identify safety, quality, and productivity concerns; actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work center and the site; participate in sustainability efforts.
- Proactively manage and resolve operational issues through independent intermediate troubleshooting, set‑ups, and timely escalation to prevent excessive downtime and scrap material, while also ensuring effective communication during shift changeovers and supporting team development through training and coaching to optimize workflow.
- Contribute to operational excellence by participating in R&D and process improvement projects, providing intermediate operation and workflow coaching for the production line, and assisting with equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve process/workflow and participate in improvement projects as requested.
- Safely handle in‑process chemicals.
- Exposure to high production output machinery and equipment in a production/plant environment.
- 100% standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of 20‑30 lbs. necessary / max lifting 40‑50 lbs.
- Bend and twist as needed.
- Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly; fine motor skills required.
- Pass visual acuity testing to perform activities such as preparing, entering, and analyzing data on paper and on a computer monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices.
- Work in a clean room environment.
Candidate who is dedicated, safety‑conscious, and thrives in a fast‑paced GMP manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a technical role with growing proficiency and responsibility, in a fast‑paced GMP Manufacturing environment or related industry with demonstrated performance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Yellow Belt and/or Lean certificate or equivalent.
- Certified Trainer or equivalent experience.
- Certified as authorized LOTO.
- Demonstrated ability to read, follow and understand technical operating procedures and documentation.
- Basic skills in mechanical and control system software packages.
- Experience in chemical handling and Hazmat.
- Proficient at intermediate level troubleshooting and set‑up activities on multiple processes.
- Possess a high level of multi‑tasking ability and strong collaboration skills to work effectively both independently and within cross‑functional teams, serving as a "Go‑to" resource in the department. This is complemented by proven verbal and written communication skills, intermediate computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, a demonstrated mechanical aptitude for maintenance activities, and completion of the OSHA 10‑hour general industry course or equivalent.
