Entry level Chemical Operator responsible for manufacturing biopharmaceutical filtration membranes with a focus on maximizing safety, quality, and productivity. This is a C shift position.
Duties Include- Manufacture quality products safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
- Safely operate a membrane manufacturing process and monitor required inputs and outputs constantly/simultaneously.
- Support proper line opening and line closing through material control and proper machine set up.
- Accurately complete documentation per GMP standards.
- Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
- Safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns.
- Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work center and the site.
- Participation in sustainability efforts.
- Exposure to high production output machinery and equipment in a production/plant environment.
- 100% Standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of 20 – 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs.
- Bend and twist as needed.
- Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
- Pass visual acuity testing in order to perform activities such as: preparing, entering, and analyzing data on paper and on a computer monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices.
- Work in a clean room environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ year of work experience in a manufacturing role.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements.
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Work independently and effectively on a team.
- Experience with web handling processes and equipment.
- Experience handling hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation.
Pay Range for this position: $23.00-$36.00 per hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
