We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Lead – Supply Chain to manage and drive end-to-end supply chain operations for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role will be responsible for Procurement, Planning, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, Logistics, Warehousing, and overall supply continuity to support manufacturing and business objectives.
Industry experience - CDMO or API Manufacturing only .
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Supply Chain operations for the manufacturing site including Procurement, Planning, Stores, Warehousing, and Logistics.
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business, customer, and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure uninterrupted availability of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Engineering consumables, and other critical supplies.
Drive demand planning, production planning coordination, inventory optimization, and material scheduling.
Manage vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
Ensure procurement activities are compliant with quality, regulatory, EHS, and organizational standards.
Monitor inventory levels, slow/non-moving inventory, and implement cost optimization initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, QA, QC, Engineering, and Project teams for seamless operations.
Drive OTIF (On Time In Full), cost efficiency, and supply reliability metrics.
Handle import/export coordination, logistics planning, and statutory compliance related to supply chain activities.
Lead and mentor the supply chain team to build operational excellence and high-performance culture.
Support audits, client interactions, and business reviews related to supply chain operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline.
12–18 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/Procurement within Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
Mandatory experience in CDMO/CRDMO environment .
Strong exposure to regulated plants and customer-driven manufacturing operations.
Proven expertise in Procurement, Planning, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, and Logistics.
Experience in SAP HANA is a must.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
