Order & Buyer Coordination
- Receive and review confirmed orders, tech packs, specifications, and buyer requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact between buyers, factory teams, and vendors.
- Clarify buyer expectations related to fabric, trims, printing, embroidery, wash care, and quality standards.
Production Planning & Execution
- Prepare and follow detailed Time and Action (T&A) calendars for each order.
- Coordinate with production, sourcing, and planning teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Monitor daily/weekly production status and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Identify potential delays and proactively coordinate corrective actions.
Sampling & Approvals
- Coordinate development, fit, size set, PPS, and production samples.
- Ensure samples are submitted as per buyer timelines and feedback is incorporated accurately.
- Follow up on all approvals related to fabric, prints, colors, and trims.
Material & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with fabric, trim, and accessory suppliers for on‑time delivery.
- Track purchase orders and ensure materials meet approved standards and test requirements.
- Liaise with external vendors (printing, dyeing, embroidery, washing units).
Quality & Testing Coordination
- Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and testing protocols.
- Coordinate with testing agencies (e.g., SGS, Intertek, BV) for lab testing.
- Handle issues related to colorfastness, wash performance, workmanship, and claims.
- Escalate quality concerns and support approval or waiver discussions where applicable.
Costing & Commercial Control
- Assist in order costing and cost negotiations when required.
- Monitor consumption, wastage, and production efficiency to control costs.
- Support documentation related to invoicing, packing lists, and shipment details.
Shipment & Dispatch
- Coordinate final inspection and shipment readiness.
- Ensure packing, labeling, and buyer‑specific requirements are met.
- Track shipments and share dispatch details with buyers and internal teams.
Key Skills &
Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of textiles, garment manufacturing processes, and fabric behavior
- Good understanding of printing techniques, dyeing, washing, and testing standards
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong follow‑up and problem‑solving ability
- Ability to handle multiple styles and tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Excel, email communication, and ERP systems
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile / Fashion / Garment Technology
- 5–8 years of experience in production merchandising (export)
- Experience working with international buyers is preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On‑time order execution and shipment
- Sample and approval turnaround time
- Quality compliance and rejection rate
- Buyer satisfaction and communication effectiveness
- Cost and production efficiency control
Work Environment:
- Office‑based with frequent coordination with factory floor
- May require travel to vendor locations or inspection agencies
- Team work.
