Our Client is a data annotation and labeling platform based in Toronto, Canada.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and support overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, cash, receivables, payables)
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations in the relevant jurisdiction
- Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., VAT/GST, corporate income tax, withholding tax) as required
- Support audits by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors
- Stay updated on regulatory and tax changes affecting the business
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and on time
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments
- Ensure proper billing and collections processes
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Support implementation or optimization of accounting systems and tools
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and accountability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is an asset
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or with international entities
- Familiarity with payroll, multi-currency accounting, and consolidation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, SAP, Net Suite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Full proficiency in English
Working hours will be Indonesian time with some overtime to communicate with the North America team.
