Role DescriptionThis is a contract, hybrid Junior Accountant role based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with flexibility for some work‑from‑home days. The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including accurate recording of financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
ResponsibilitiesMaintaining accounts payable and receivable records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring proper documentation for all financial activities.
Supporting budget tracking, assisting with internal and external audits, and generating basic financial reports and summaries for management.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations, while helping to improve financial processes and systems.
QualificationsStrong foundation in accounting principles, including experience with general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable processes.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ERP or cloud‑based tools) and Microsoft Excel, including basic data analysis and spreadsheet functions.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Solid understanding of basic financial reporting, budgeting support, and documentation for audits and compliance.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial information clearly.
Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment, demonstrating reliability, integrity, and a willingness to learn.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience). Familiarity with Indonesian tax regulations and local accounting standards is an advantage. Interest in or exposure to the aquaculture, agriculture, or technology sectors is a plus.
