Cost Controller

Job Description

The Cost Controller supports the successful delivery of ongoing projects in Indonesia by monitoring costs, supporting budget control, and helping the efficient project execution

Main responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

• Budget management:
  Develop and maintain detailed cost control plans, set up cost breakdown structures, and allocate budgets/resources
• Cost analysis:
  Collect and analyze financial data, track variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Forecasting:
  Prepare accurate financial forecasts and update them regularly to reflect project progress
• Reporting:
  Generate internal cost reports, reconcile project costs with accounting records, and present findings to management
• Compliance:
  Review subcontractor invoices, validate change orders, and ensure adherence to financial regulations
• Risk management:
  
  Perform cost risk analysis, define contingency reserves, and contribute to project risk assessments.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cost control processes

Qualification:

(minimum)

• Education:
  
  Degree in Engineering.

• Minimum 3-5 years in cost control.
• Technical skills:
  Proficiency in Excel, and cost accounting principles, able to operate Microsoft Project or Primavera preferred.
• Project control/planning experience: prior exposure to project control or project planning is highly preferred, as it strengthens budgeting and scheduling alignment

  Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate financial data to non-financial colleagues
