Construction Project Manager, AWS - South East Asia

The Data Center Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for the day‑to‑day construction oversight and management of contractors for Amazon data centers in Thailand. The CPM serves as a leader in construction management and is accountable for delivering sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems in world‑class data facilities.

• Project management and oversight of construction related activities for new builds or general capital projects, including ownership of the project scope, timetable, and budget.
• Drive cost efficiency and schedule optimization while maintaining high quality standards.
• Provide construction management for initiatives that increase data center resiliency.
• Review constructability of electrical and mechanical system and building designs for new and existing data centers.
• Create project scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, and prepare capital requests.
• Ensure total project quality, including commissioning, integrated system testing, and oversight of project execution.
• Manage the Request for Information process during construction and coordinate construction administration with engineers.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects, including new data center builds and capital improvement projects at existing sites.
• Provide operational support for installed facilities, reviewing procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
• Lead within the team and across internal and external stakeholders that support the data center.
• Travel to data center sites for electrical system audits, mechanical system reviews, constructability reviews, startup testing, and full commissioning as required.

• 12+ years of experience in design and construction management.
• Project management experience in mission critical facilities.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings for all disciplines.
• Experience advancing new design concepts from exploration through deployment and mass production.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with mission critical projects such as data centers, semiconductor plants, hospitals, and oil & gas facilities.
• Knowledge of Thai building codes and regulations, including Fire, Building, Energy Efficiency, Sanitary, and Safety Codes.
• Vendor and contractor/subcontractor negotiation and management experience related to construction and project execution.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience managing both greenfield and brownfield projects.
