Interior Designer

Hello! We're HBA - The World's No. 1 Hospitality Design Firm. We are currently looking for Intermediate and Senior
Interior Designers to join our team.

• Lead projects from concept stages through completion, working closely with partners, coordinating consultants, and interfacing with clients.
• Manage drawing sets through Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, and InDesign; proficiency in Rhino, Enscape, or Morpholio Trace is an added advantage.
• Translate design concepts into reality while simultaneously managing project workflows.
• Organize teams and coordinate projects in complex and dynamic situations.
• Develop designs from sketch or direction provided by Directors/Principals into buildable reality and coordinate with consultants and others.
• Maintain profitability and project health by monitoring deliverable hours and avoiding unnecessary or repetitive work.
• Lead and coordinate multiple hospitality projects from concept to completion.
• Hands‑on involvement in all aspects of project work, including tasks below the position level.
• Formulate design concepts through narrative storylines, mood imagery, and freehand sketches.
• Translate approved concepts into beautiful and practical interior design that meets hotel brand standards.
• Develop large space volumes, area zoning, space planning layouts, and micro‑ and small‑space planning.
• Deliver design solutions within client budget.
• Coordinate with parallel engineering trades and specialty consultants.
• Maintain HBA’s reputation for high‑quality design, deliverables, and client service while encouraging and supporting junior designers.
• Represent the firm in meetings, presentations, site inspections, and factory prototype reviews.

• Minimum of 3 years experience for Intermediate Designers or 7+ years for Senior Interior Designers.
• Passion, ambition, and a demonstrated record of high‑quality design and creativity.
• Minimum degree in architecture or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven track record of delivering quality projects and a respected reputation among peers.
• Excellent knowledge of project delivery and onsite experience of projects through practical completion.
• Strong time‑management and multitasking skills; ability to manage own and team time.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and motivating junior designers.
• Confident client engagement and communication skills.
• Highly evolved project‑management and organizational skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of building, services, and materials.
• Good consultant contacts and working relationships.
• Manage the design process, program outputs, and ensure delivery of high‑quality designs aligned with studio ethos and vision.
• Highly motivated, ambitious, and keen to learn and grow.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
