The school is seeking a passionate, experienced Year 1 Teacher to join a close-knit team. The ideal candidate will embrace creativity, adaptability, and a holistic approach to teaching, while valuing collaboration and progressive education.
Key Responsibilities- Lesson planning and preparation.
- Identifying key learning objectives and outcomes.
- Record keeping and report writing.
- Providing emotional, social and academic support to all students.
- Maintaining communication channels with parents.
- Attending meetings and professional development.
- Planning or supporting the organisation of events.
- Working in collaboration with other staff members.
- Documenting student progress and communicating with parents.
- Complying with state, school, and class rules and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience (visa requirement).
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum pedagogy, and a preference for candidates with some Māori cultural experience.
- Excellent classroom management and instructional skills.
- Compassionate, positive attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable educators who thrive in a team-oriented environment.
