Teaching Assistant - English Cipayung

The Teaching Assistant (TA) is part of the schoolteachingteam, supporting the class teacher in the areas of classroom management, safety,assistance with activities and general student care. The TA will havean important rolein student safety, enforcing the English 1 Health and Safety procedures. The TA alsomaintainsclassroom discipline, by both following the teacher's lead andmaintainingthe center's classroom behavior policies. The role involvesparticipatingin lesson activities by helping to demonstrate,monitoring,guiding,and helping students during the activities.

Job Description:

In the classroom

• Enforce student safety procedures
• Support teacher in class activities
• Take students to the bathroom
• Help teachers enforce their rules and classroom management systems
• Help get new students used to our expectations of classroom behavior
• Assistin conducting unit reviews and progress tests

Out of the classroom

• Monitor student safety and behavior before and after classes and during breaks
• Line students up and escort to and from classroom
• Maintainteaching aids
• Grade paper-based progress test
• Collaborate with the teachers to conduct outside-classroom activities

Qualifications:

• University student in the last year or semester (preferably from Education or English Literature)
• Minimum CEFR B1 level English; comfortable working in a multicultural environment
• Enjoy working with children (3-9 years old)
• Have a positive attitude, and positive body language (smile a lot)
• Patient, energetic, detail-oriented
• No criminal records

Working

Schedule:

• 20 hours per week (Monday - Saturday)
• Onsite and offsite duties
• To be placed in English 1 Cipayung, East Jakarta.
