Requirements for IGCSE & IAL Accounting Teacher

1. Educational Background

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Education from a reputable university.
• Preferred/Advantage: Master’s Degree or professional accounting qualifications/certifications
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, national teaching license, or international teaching diploma) is highly desirable.

2. Work Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Accounting at the IGCSE and/or A-Level / IAL levels (specifically Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge/CAIE boards).
• Strong familiarity with exam board syllabi, assessment criteria, mark schemes, and specific command words.
• Proven track record of preparing students for international examinations and helping them achieve top grades (A/A*).
• English Proficiency: Advanced/Fluent (written and spoken, equivalent to IELTS 7.0+), as all instruction, coursework, and examinations are conducted in English.
• Digital Literacy

4. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with the latest Pearson Edexcel or CAIE syllabi.
• Deliver interactive and structured lessons to IGCSE (ages 14–16) and IAL (ages 16–18) students.
• Prepare, conduct, and grade mock exams, assignments, and formative assessments using official mark schemes.
• Analyze student performance metrics to provide targeted support, remediation, or enrichment activities.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum updates, exam board specifications, and modern pedagogical techniques.
