About the Role

The Battery Swap Station Technician is responsible for maintaining the performance, safety, and reliability of Electrum’s battery swap stations. This role performs regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and software systems to ensure stations operate smoothly and customers experience minimal downtime.

You will play a critical role in keeping the battery swap network running efficiently — combining hands-on technical skill, preventive maintenance discipline, and customer service awareness.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on battery swap station equipment to ensure consistent operational uptime.

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and software systems at the station.

  • Execute battery replacement procedures
    , including safely removing defective batteries and installing functional units.

  • Monitor, manage, and maintain battery inventory
    , including charge status, capacity performance, and defect tracking.

  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are documented accurately in maintenance logs and system databases.

  • Respond quickly to technical malfunctions, alarms, or emergency incidents to minimize service interruptions.

  • Support on-site customer interactions
    , guiding users through battery swap procedures and answering technical inquiries.

  • Coordinate with the Control Tower and Maintenance teams to resolve escalated issues.

  • Provide on-call or shift support for urgent or after-hours station issues as needed.

  • Train and mentor junior technicians on operational procedures and safety standards.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on recurring issues and potential system enhancements.

What You Bring
  • Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Technology (SMK/D3/S1 or equivalent).

  • Proven experience working with electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting in industrial or mobility environments.

  • Experience handling battery systems, charging stations, or battery management systems (BMS) is highly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance
    , technical diagnostics
    , and safety procedures for electrical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or in teams under operational pressure.

  • Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and record tracking.

  • Possession of a valid SIM C (motorcycle license) is required;
    SIM A (car license) is an advantage.

  • Willingness to work on-site, in shifts, and occasionally travel between station locations.

Nicer to Have
  • Previous experience in EV battery swap
    , charging station maintenance
    , or energy infrastructure
    .

  • Familiarity with IoT systems, sensors, and remote monitoring tools.

  • Basic understanding of software/hardware integration diagnostics.
