Job Overview

The CMS Compliance Officer will be responsible for manage contractor CMS compliance, HSE performance, audits, risk management, and reporting systems to ensure all contractors meet companyoperational and safety standards across sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor Contractor HSE Management System (CMS) compliance, reporting, and database administration.
  • Coordinate contractor HSE data, KPI reporting, incident reporting, and risk management activities across sites.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and quality reviews to ensure compliance with MDKA HSE standards and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of Critical Risk Management (CRM), Critical Risk Standards (CRS), and Management of Change (MoC).
  • Develop and maintain contractor HSE documentation, dashboards, risk registers, and reporting systems.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to contractors, project teams, and HSE personnel on HSE systems and programs.
  • Analyze contractor HSE performance data and recommend continuous improvements to enhance safety and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Natural Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE Systems, Risk Management, or Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS) roles, with 2 years of experience in mining and/or other high-risk industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Risk Management frameworks and standards such as ISO 31000, COSO, ISO 45001/OHSAS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, SMKP, and SMK

  • Good understanding of contractor management and occupational health & safety practices in the mining industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hazard identification skills with the ability to implement preventive controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, reporting systems, presentations, and database management, with strong communication and supervisory skills.
