LocationSumbawa Island or Jakarta. Onsite in Sumbawa or 10 weeks on/2 weeks off roster from Jakarta.
Role SummaryTechnical Customer Service Supervisor to oversee performance and optimisation of Weir’s products on‑site, acting as liaison between Weir and customer.
Responsibilities- Provide first‑line technical support including inspections, fault diagnosis and on‑site troubleshooting of pumps and cyclones.
- Act as on‑site company representative, building strong customer relationships and delivering expert technical guidance.
- Coordinate repairs, parts replacement, and technical solutions with engineering teams to maintain operations.
- Support spare parts forecasting and planning to reduce downtime and optimise equipment performance.
- Deliver clear technical reports and insights on equipment performance, operations, and market/competitor activity.
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviours and develop a world‑class safety culture.
- Travels primarily site‑based in Sumbawa with rostered shifts of 10 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent instrumentation.
- Strong hands‑on experience with pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical fault analysis in mining or heavy industry environments.
- Proven ability to work effectively in remote site conditions on a roster basis.
- Excellent communication skills to build customer relationships and produce technical reports.
- Exposure to competitor products or similar industry equipment for faster ramp‑up.
- Background in field service, site technician, or technical support roles.
- Electrical or instrumentation knowledge supported by strong mechanical expertise.
- Experience in spare parts forecasting and operational coordination.
