We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer Manager to oversee all mechanical engineering functions within our data center operations. This role will lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring all systems HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, and mechanical infrastructure are designed, operated, and maintained to the highest standards.
The Mechanical Engineer Manager will be responsible for end-to-end oversight of mechanical systems, from project planning and installation to commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting. This includes ensuring system reliability, improving efficiency, driving preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support operational uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in data center facilities.
- Ensure all mechanical systems meet operational, safety, and compliance standards.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Support capacity planning, system upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with electrical, operations, and project management teams on infrastructure projects.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical guidance during critical incidents.
- Review engineering documents, specifications, and vendor proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement for system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably within data center, mission-critical, or industrial facilities.
- Proven experience leading an engineering team.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, cooling towers, and mechanical redundancy concepts.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
