Senior 3D Designer - Piping & Mechanical

Role Overview

AutoCAD Plant 3D software loading and project set‑up. Working closely with other engineers and 3‑D designers. Creating piping specifications, customizing specialty items & catalogues, coordinating activities with Beca teams in Australia & New Zealand. Extracting reports such as interference, MTOs, line lists, design parameters & insulation. Managing internal training.

Preparing smart P&IDs, 3‑D mechanical and equipment modeling. Troubleshooting AutoCAD Plant 3D at user and advanced levels. Performing day‑to‑day administrative tasks including project archiving, retrieval and backup. Conducting conceptual and detailed piping & other mechanical designs. Administering the model, customizing it to project requirements and supporting multi‑discipline end users. Collaborating with project discipline leads to understand requirements and deliver on time.

Allocating and managing work for a team of 3‑D designers while balancing workloads. Understanding process flow diagrams (PFDs), instrument diagrams (P&IDs), piping system design, material handling methods, equipment and functional & installation specifications.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or other engineering degree based on relevant experience.
• 15 years of experience in piping/plant design, AutoCAD Plant 3D administration or EPC consulting.
• Knowledge of codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, NFPA, DIN and others relevant to process and mechanical engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, P&IDs and generic AutoCAD 3‑D.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with effective communication in fluent English‑speaking teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong report‑writing and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new processes and applications.
• Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage and/or Mining & Metals preferred.
• Willing to be based in Jakarta.
