Assistant Chief Engineer - 016-PMS-ACE-2026

Are you passionate about the property industry and eager to gain hands-on experience? We are offering an Assistant Chief Engineer position opportunity for enthusiastic and driven individuals looking to kickstart their careers in property consulting.
Key of responsibilities- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliable and efficient operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, and other building systems
- Reviewing preventive maintenance reports
- Responding to and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and tenant/resident requests promptly
- Managing and overseeing the work of external maintenance contractors and vendors
- Inspecting facilities regularly to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement
- Monitoring and optimizing energy usage to reduce consumption and costs
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, security and safety regulations (HSE), and environmental requirements
- Collaborating with the property management team to maintain the overall functionality and appearance of the building
- Participating in budget planning and capital improvement projects
- Keeping up-to-date equipment maintenance logs, inventory, and updating preventive maintenance manuals quarterly
- Controlling and monitoring the operation of all equipment
- Creating and preparing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring their proper implementation/utilization
- Effectively and efficiently controlling management operational costs
- Performing other responsibilities related to operational continuity as instructed by the building manager/head of department
- Ensuring compliance with housekeeping and hospitality standards
- Establishing good communication with owner representatives and the team
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical from a reputable university
- At least 2 years of experience as an Engineer in property management
- Certification or licensure in relevant trades (eg, HSE/K3) preferred
- Strong technical expertise in building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Good team-working skills and strong leadership abilities
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external stakeholders, and customer service abilities
- Fluency in English, both oral and written, will be an advantage
- Strong operational abilities, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Disciplined and self-motivated
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, resourceful, responsive, responsible, and reliable
- Willingness to work long hours (including weekends/public holidays)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
