Responsibilities
This is a customer-oriented role, involving end-to-end coordination with third-party service providers to ensure seamless service execution, while also serving as a Tier 2 technical support resource for escalated or complex cases. It requires close collaboration with both internal teams and external partners to uphold service quality. A key responsibility includes managing preventive maintenance (PM) planning, ensuring timely execution and minimal disruption to operations.
Additionally, the role demands strict maintenance of data hygiene within the Global Service Management System (GSMS), accurate administration of service contracts, and full oversight of service tools—including inventory availability, and ensuring all tools are calibrated on schedule. This position plays a critical part in sustaining operational integrity and supporting compliance in the service delivery process.
- Partner Boston Scientific appointed service providers for technical support of all capital equipment, inclusive of equipment distributed through appointed channel partners.
- Provide level two service support related to maintenance, field action, recalibration, upgrade, and repair for the local installed base.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction with BSC equipment’s performance and services.
- Reporting all service activities in approved Service Management Systems and meeting key performance indicators.
- Responsible for monitoring, organizing, and maintaining personal trunk stock, tools & test measurement equipment, and spare parts.
- Administer service contract opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to drive local contract adoption.
- Responsible for local capital equipment-related program management (ie. preventive maintenance scheduling).
- Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply, and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
- Minimum of 5 years’ field service experience, preferably with medical equipment
- Associate degree or degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics is preferred
- Prior experience in Technical Field Service, Biomedical roles, or a Military technical MOS
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments effectively
- Excellent English competency, both written and spoken
