As a Field Service Engineer, you will be dedicated to delivering world‑class support to our customers, working onsite to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and performance. This role is hands‑on and directly impacts our customers’ operations.
Responsibilities- Provide services and customer support during assigned onsite roster
- Perform installation support, commissioning, calibration, repair, maintenance, and testing of complex equipment
- Identify and resolve advanced technical problems during start‑up and operations
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades to meet customer needs
- Deliver troubleshooting support and train customers on equipment features and functionality
- Conduct regular site evaluations to determine maintenance requirements and performance improvements
- Ensure operational uptime by addressing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in all onsite activities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to secure future business opportunities
- Communicate and regularly update FLS internal partners, sales team, product specialists, and other stakeholders
- Vocational/Technical education or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 3–5 years’ experience in the mining or heavy industrial service industry (preferred)
- Strong hands‑on skills in equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work onsite following customer roster, including in remote areas
- Broad knowledge of operational procedures, maintenance tools, and troubleshooting methods
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and limited supervision
- Excellent communication skills and ability to train customers effectively
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently
- Willingness to travel extensively across mine sites in Southeast Asia
