The Medior Process Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing industrial process and utility systems across various industries. The role involves conceptual to detailed engineering, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and active engagement with clients to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable engineering solutions.
What will you do- Perform conceptual, basic, and detailed design of OSBL and utilities (water, wastewater, steam, condensate, cooling water, chilled water, compressed air, nitrogen, etc.) for various industries.
- Review project specification based on client’s requirement, define the utilities requirement, and design the associated systems.
- Prepared basic engineering design data, block flow diagram, mass & heat balance, process flow diagram, equipment, line sizing, and hydraulic calculation, pressure drop for compressible and in compressible flow calculation, equipment list, and line list.
- Assist in development of various deliverables, including but not limited to piping and instrumentation diagram, process instrumentation and control system principles, and process design basis report.
- Create technical and economic analysis of several options to optimize the design.
- Work side-by-side with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical) and project management team to provide fully coordinated services on project, including but not limited to provide process-related data, review requisition, equipment data sheet, basic piping system design, piping 3
Dmodel, electrical load list, and other deliverables. - Actively involved in meeting and workshop with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Manage and organize project documentation/deliverables.
This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia, within the Industry & Buildings Department of PT Haskoning Indonesia. The role primarily works from the Jakarta office, with collaboration across local and international project teams and occasional meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors.
What you bring- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related discipline.
- 6-8 years of process engineering experience in water, industrial, environmental, or manufacturing projects.
- Hands-on experience in FMCG manufacturing process including knowledge of process and utilities systems widely used in high‑volume production environments.
- Proven exposure to manufacturing utilities (e.g., boilers, cooling systems, compressed air, CIP/SIP systems, chilled water, Water treatment, wastewater treatment, Nitrogen, steam networks).
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen, Bio Win, GPS-X).
- Strong ability to develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances, and equipment sizing.
- Good understanding of engineering standards (ISO, ASME, API) and HSE requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in consultancy or EPC environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with sustainability concepts or digital engineering tools is a plus.
