Solmax is the global leader in geosynthetics, delivering industry-defining engineered solutions for civil, mining, environmental, water, and infrastructure applications.
With the world’s most comprehensive portfolio of geosynthetic products, including geomembranes, geotextiles, geogrids, drainage composites, and erosion control systems, Solmax sets the benchmark for performance, innovation, and sustainability in ground engineering and containment solutions.
Solmax partners with engineers, consultants, contractors, and asset owners worldwide to deliver critical mining infrastructure that is safer, more durable, and more cost‑effective. We have key solutions for tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, water dams, and haul roads.
Role PurposeThe EBM (Engineering Business Management) Engineer is responsible for driving specification‑led growth across the civil, geotechnical, and mining engineers to adopt Solmax value‑added solutions. The role focuses on surveying the market environment, engaging at the design stage, shaping engineering outcomes, and positioning geosynthetics as core components of the infrastructure design. Success requires deep technical credibility combined with strong commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities Specification & Design Influence (Core Focus)- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Civil and geotechnical consultants
- Asset owners and engineers
- Key contractors
- Influence design specifications, scopes, and engineering standards to embed Solmax solutions
- Engage early in project life cycles (concept, feasibility, detailed design stages)
- Position geosynthetics as risk‑reduction and performance‑enhancing solutions
- Provide advanced technical guidance and Solmax solutions design support across:
- Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) and Heap Leach Pads
- Evaporation and process ponds
- Water management structures
- Haul roads and working platforms
- Slope protection and stabilization structures
- Power plants and renewable energy facilities
- Deliver value engineering solutions (cost, constructability, performance)
- Deliver technical presentations and workshops for consultants and owners
- Interpret and apply relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. GRI, Government regulation and site‑specific specifications)
- Develop Value Added solutions project pipeline across Indonesia
- Identify opportunities to convert specifications into supply and revenue
- Collaborate with sales and project delivery teams to ensure seamless execution
- Drive long‑term adoption of standardised geosynthetic solutions
- Establish Solmax as a trusted engineering partner to:
- Owners especially mining companies
- Engineering consultancies
- Mining and civil contractors
- Build strategic relationships at both technical and decision‑making levels
- Support contractors during tender and construction phases
- Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging technologies
- Provide insights to internal teams on:
- Market needs and specification gaps
- Contribute to national strategy and key account plans
- Growth in specifications influenced and secured at design stage
- Conversion of specifications into delivered revenue
- Expansion of value‑added solutions pipeline and key accounts
- Increased adoption of Solmax solutions as standard design practice
- Strength of relationships with consultants, contractors and asset owners
This role is critical to helping owners construct simpler, more efficiently and more cost effectively with Solmax solutions.
By influencing how infrastructures are designed, from containment systems to ground stabilisation and improvement directly drives safer, more efficient, and more sustainable operations, while delivering long‑term commercial growth.
