Compliance Officer in a Coal Mining Company
We are a leading coal mining company and part of a well-established business group with a strong commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable mining regulations, environmental requirements, licensing obligations, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and government authorities to support compliance initiatives, mitigate regulatory risks, and uphold the highest standards of corporate governance.

1. Educational Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1): Preferably in Law, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/HSE), or a related field

Professional
Certifications:
Possession of First-Line Operational Supervisor (POP) or Intermediate Operational Supervisor (POM) certifications, as required by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), is considered a significant advantage.
2. Work Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in legal compliance, auditing, licensing/permitting, or Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection (HSE) within the mining industry.
Experience in regulatory compliance monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement is highly desirable.
3. Regulatory and Technical Expertise
Mining Regulations: Strong knowledge of Indonesia’s Mining Law (Minerba Law) and environmental regulations, including Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) and mine reclamation requirements.
Government Digital Systems: Familiarity with government reporting platforms such as OSS (Online-Single Submission),
MODI (Minerba One Data Indonesia), and MOMS (Mining Operations Management System) administered by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Ability to prepare compliance reports, corrective action plans, and regulatory documentation.
4. Soft Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa and English will be preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
Ability to work independently, maintain integrity, and uphold ethical standards in decision-making.
