What You Will DoThe Reliability Engineer ensures reliable and consistent asset performance by minimizing failures, reducing downtime, and managing operational risks. This role applies reliability engineering principles across the asset life cycle, working closely with design and maintenance teams to embed reliability from the outset and improve existing processes through analysis, root cause investigation, FMEA, predictive maintenance, effective PM strategies, and efficient spare parts management.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse asset performance and reliability to identify potential failure modes and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and recurring issues and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and maintenance teams to embed reliability principles in new and existing systems.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) strategies and plans.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of PM programs and maintenance activities and recommend optimizations.
- Utilize reliability tools and methodologies such as FMEA, predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts through effective planning and coordination.
- Manage spare parts throughout their lifecycle, including specification, procurement planning, receiving, storage, usage, and cost control.
- Monitor spare part efficiency and inventory levels to support smooth machinery and equipment operations.
- Prepare reliability, maintenance, and spare parts performance reports for evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adequate resources, budgeting, and allocations for maintenance and reliability activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and asset life cycle management.
- Hands‑on experience in root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and failure investigation.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate preventive and predictive maintenance (PM) plans.
- Solid knowledge of spare parts management, including planning, specifications, inventory control, cost optimization, receiving, storage, and usage.
- Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in asset‑intensive, industrial, manufacturing, or energy‑related environments.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring tools.
- Experience in evaluating PM effectiveness and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hands‑on experience in Maintenance Planning & Scheduling process is a plus.
- Certification in Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related fields.
- Experience supporting reliability considerations during design and commissioning phases.
